The boys we're arguing in the car. Cowen told Jonas to shut his mouth. So of course, Jonas promptly tattles saying that cowen said a bad word. I ask what he said Jonas tells me and I explain how saying shut your mouth isn't a bad word but its not a nice thing to say. So cowen asks "is keep your mouth shut bad?" I tell him "no, its just not nice" there is a bit of silence and Jonas says...
"What about shit head? Is shit head a bad word?"
"No, that's an adult word, children don't use the word shit"
"So when I'm 18 I can say shit head?"
"yes Jonas, don't say shit again until your 18"
"Okay momma!"
*I have determined there is absolutely no way to have conversations like these without making it completely obvious that I am laughing.
