The Lorax

We had decided to take the boys to see The Lorax the weekend after it came out. They love Dr. Seuss, and I happen to love this particular story, so it worked. Plus I like to raise the kids a little on the, hmmm...hippy(?) Side. So the movie fit perfect.

During the movie we take turns entertaining the baby, turns out GIANT TVs blaring sound are completely uninteresting to him, aside from beaning the little boy in front of us with his sippy cup and throwing my nachos on the floor. He did great! We even got the sippy cup back!...ya know, I never did thank the lady sitting behind us for making faces at the baby, while he was nursing. You ever have a teething baby bite your boob? No? Go ahead and take a pair of spiky barbecue tongs, place them over your nipple, clamp down. Now pull. Its kinda like that...I should send that lady a card.

After the movie, the kids were raving about it. They absolutely loved it, talked about all the characters, taking turns telling us their favorite parts. I figured it was a great opportunity to use the movie as an educational tool, so I asked them- " what did you guys learn from the movie?" I received this matter-of-fact answer simultaneously..."how to chop down trees!" Well played Mr. Renaud, well played.
