This morning I had the exciting task of registering Jonas for transitional kindergarten(TK). Part of the registration process was him spending 5-10 minutes with a teacher, she asked various questions and had him perform simple tasks to gauge where he was academically, I suppose.
As we were leaving I asked him "what kind of questions did she ask you?" He says "all kinds of silly stuff. I tried to teach her but she wouldn't listen. She didn't even know her numbers momma!" I respond with "she didn't?" He says, in a mildly frustrated voice "no, numbers go 123456789, not 3751. She tried to make me say them wrong!!"
One of the exercises was to repeat a series of random numbers back. He wouldn't have it! She. Was. Wrong. TK is going to be exciting! :)
